Our Story

After traveling across dozens of countries, our founder returned to Japan in 2019 and began envisioning Torahebi Coffee in his hometown of Shibata, Niigata. The brand was officially founded in 2020.

Throughout his journey, he came to rediscover his identity as a Japanese.The name “Torahebi” was inspired by his beloved grandparents—their names and the zodiac signs under which they were born.

Together with his nephew, a coffee roaster, he continues to craft coffee with the belief that, in an age overflowing with products and information, what is genuinely meaningful is always discovered by those guided by a free sensibility.

Beyond coffee, we continue to explore new possibilities through creative projects and collaborations. On March 21, 2023—The Day of the Tiger—we opened our first flagship store at Shibuya PARCO in Tokyo.

As of 2026, we continue to pursue new possibilities through the synthesis of nature, science, and wisdom, guided by an unwavering independent spirit.
